That is something that the therapist should have gone over with you in terms of what they will keep confidential and what they won't. Most of what you tell a therapist is confidential but some of it isn't. And they should have told you what wouldn't be confidential. Because you are a minor they have an obligation to keep you safe. They are legally bound. That is why the therapist had to report it.


What you are going through must be so incredibly difficult right now. I hope things turn out for the best. You do deserve to be protected.
