My theory for a number of years has been that the meds that cause weight gain are the cheapest but the meds that cause weight loss or are weight neutral are either incredibly expensive or not covered at all. When I was on Medicaid they wouldn’t even cover Wellbutrin. I am paying a ton for my Geodon 80 which doesn’t makes me hungry. Xanax XR which seems to be bringing down my appetite wasn’t covered by my United healthcare/Medicare insurance so with GoodRX I’m paying $30. I know I’m probably just paranoid, but that’s just based on my experience.
