Airing cupboards are most definitely not used to dry clothes or bed sheets. We behead subjects with that kind of attitude. Airing cupboards are where we keep our already dry clothes in order to keep them warm and damp free. Clothes are dried outside on a washing line or on a clothes horse indoors, preferably wooden although the modern types like to use a plastic variation. Slovenly parties hang wet items over radiators for maximum results with minimum effort. Wet or damp items must never be placed into the airing cupboard. We are not a nation of savages and this is not a country of chaos.
