Only slept 4 hours last night but it was what I expected.

Yesterday, my of chemo induced pain was nearly gone; however, during this last chemo, I slipped into maximizing all the drugs that help me sleep (and they did). With my surgery on the 24th coupled with the mental confusion one of the drugs is causing, I cut back on one of the drugs (a prescription that I stopped asking for a year or two ago but have 3 or 4 months worth left). In the past, when I have stopped this med (gabapentin), I can't sleep for about 3 days then I am fine. Three days of sleeping badly is harder when chemo hasn't totally wore off so perhaps I just need to let my doc's know I am still taking. It is either that or stop since my surgeon will need to know all the pills I am taking right before surgery. Then their is the drug that makes me confused that is a whole other issue. Medications provide relief for so much until their negative effects raise their ugly sides.....
