Puerto Rico : A Spectacular Land Of Mountains, White Sands and Sunny Days
Puerto Rico is quickly becoming one of the top destinations for today’s traveler. If you are seeking somewhere to escape and lose yourself to sun, sands, and natural wonders, you will find this Caribbean island has much to offer.

For the beach lover, there is a bevy of beaches waiting for you to relax on and indulge in the warm waters.
Culturally Puerto Rico has many wonderful experiences for those who enjoy immersing themselves. Puerto Rico is home to a number of holidays throughout the year. Some of these include Conmemoración Del Estado Libre Asociado (Commonwealth of Puerto Rico), which is on July 25th, Día Del Descubrimiento de Puerto Rico (Discovery of Puerto Rico Day), which is on November 19th, and Día de los Tres Reyes Magos (Three Kings Day).
Many locations on the island celebrate patron saints with festivals. A noteworthy festival to experience includes the celebration of San Juan Bautista, in San Juan on June 24th. You can experience a mix of sacred and secular traditions. Food and music abound; children run and play, and there is much dancing. A special mass is given in honor of the saint and afterward, a giant piñata is ceremoniously broken and the festivities continue until the sun has gone down. Each location has a patron saint and festival, leaving you with many choices for rich experiences.
The people of Puerto Rico are well known for their warm hospitality, and are very friendly and expressive to strangers, so you can expect a cordial and genuine welcome while visiting. The handshake is used for introductions, and watch for lively hand expressions and gestures, as this is a very important part of communication.
For nightlife, there are many excellent nightclubs and attractions to be visited. Fridays in San Juan feature the Plaza del Mercado street party every Friday starting at 5pm. Roll to Buyé for hot night, and then relax at the cool Lounge at Normadie Hotel or Waterclub's Liquid lounge. Saturdays continue the fun with Entana del Mar's 'Di Parma', and then the exciting See and Be Seen at Moorings outdoor bar. For a nice finish to the evening, visit Brava, San Juan's premier dance club and dance until the sun comes up!
