It doesn't sound like BPD to me.

I think a person with BPD would feel suicidal due to abandonment issues. They'd also need other characteristics to be considered BPD, IMO.
Threatening to kill oneself is a form of emotional abuse, to create fear in another person in order to get them to stay. It's a control tactic and not something they would act out on. BPD? I would say no.. but I'm not qualified to answer.
