Whatever it’s not fair to attempt suicide when someone is breaking with you. It’s a sign of emotional manipulation. From the knowledge I have, people with B.P.D. do it but they feel a terrible fear of abandonment. I have had couples who did it and they didn’t have a personality disorder.
Out of labels you have to think yourself that it’s not fair with the other person. And together with thinking in the other person you have to think of yourself. What are you gonna get out of that? What kind if relationship you are gonna build with the other person?

Being diagnosed or not with BPD, is there any possibility of attending to Dialectic Behavioural Therapy? I ask you because as to I know it teaches techniques to un attach yourself from people and things and relying on yourself and your resilience.
