I'd err on the side of caution and open up some windows, call somebody who knows what to do or get new bottles and the pipes checked as soon as possible... maybe from a different supplier, if that's possible. (Of course my physicist brain is now telling me how one could locate the leak, but that's most probably not a good idea to try at home)

Another thought with the leak and smelling it is, I know in the US, they add some sort of foul smell to natural gas so that we can sense if there's a leak. But I'm not sure if they do that in your country (Australia?). And natural gas doesn't have a detectable odor on its own (or propane or whatever it is that you're using--maybe propane is natural gas...we have oil heat, so not sure!)
But I'd get someone to check it out to be safe and maybe get a carbon monoxide detector as well.
