Yes, I've heard of it.

In my case, it's dry skin patches around my mouth, especially top lip area. Been advised to use a gentle natural based cleanser then same type of moisturiser.

Only wear mask for short time (shopping, going to bank, etc), mask is cotton washed in a detergent for sensitive skin (due to psoriasis). Perhaps I've just been blaming mask when it could be weather, central heating, etc.
