Just as I suspected.
It was an off duty police officer,
Having a night out,
Whom thug had spoken to.
There was nothing to be found.
And the officer would
Have faced a disciplinary
For his actions.
The poor guy would have
Been crestfallen to find out,
He had been drawn in and duped,
By an unscrupulous gossip
Who was attempting to
Tarnish the reputation
Of one of his own students,
Who was also one of his
Top competitors at the time.
Why? Why did he want
My head on a plate?
Why did he try
To sabotage my relationship?
Why did he want
To mercilessly ruin me?
