I think as long as you're civil with your ex and you guys don't complain about one another to your son (in the future, anyway, given that he's still a toddler), it will be OK. I had friends with divorced parents when I was growing up and plenty of them seemed to enjoy essentially having 2 homes. The only ones who seemed unhappy were the ones whose parents hated each other.
