Thanks. Yes, it is better. I hope it keeps up. I was looking at the latest detailed report from the government. Most places in the north and center of the country aren't so bad. The south is still having problems, though. Biobío region has 132.2 active cases per 100,000, Los Ríos 151.3, Los Lagos 136.6 and Magallanes, the farthest south region, is the worst with 324.1.
I guess if there is a positive that I have seen here, is that it hasn't ever really hit the whole country hard at once. I read in the US, that with previous waves, they were able to move patients to areas with more open beds or move medical staff around to worse areas. However, right now, so many places are hard hit, that's not an option in many cases. We had the worst of it in the Metropolitan Region in May, which is when they locked us down. The ICUs were at capacity. However, other areas did have ICU space, so they were able to do medical transport flights and take people to the areas where there were available beds. Now, I have heard that they may have to send people from overloaded hospitals in the south to the Metropolitan Region.
