I accidently got a local paper delivered to my house yesterday and there was an interesting article on a police officer who was the victim of domestic violence/ abuse? She said she would turnup to DV calls and never saw the similarities in her own marriage. She was also married to another police officer in the same station. It was only after another officer at the station became suspicious of some of her injuries that she started to realise. Her husband was arrested and charged and she was just speaking up to alert people of the small signs of abuse that tend to get overlooked.
