It seems like you since MountainDewed did not come back. I agree with your point and don't actually know enough about MountainDewed to know if she (he?) has an eating disorder. Since I am 5" tall, overweight, older and just walk once a day and not that active--IMO a 1200 calorie diet would not be that radical for me. However, I agree that preocupation with calories does not work well--usually the cause is that we need to slowly build up our metabolism with proper excercise, nutrition (focus on avoiding empty calories but eat when we are hungry), eliminate drugs that make us gain weight and if we are eating emotionally--deal with the pain instead of soothing the pain with food.
