Shopping for cards for my parents became much more difficult after spending a bit of time in therapy, too...Like, "Not buying that 'you're not just my mom, you're my friend' card anymore, because you really tried to push yourself into my life and push your values on me and make me into an extrovert when I'm an introvert and seemed jealous of some friends I was close to, so yeah...."

Perhaps a whole new line of greeting cards is in order? The "Post-Therapy" line perhaps?
