I read her a few of the pages and showed her some of the pictures haha and told her the whole book kind of feels like a metaphor for the stuff we slogged and fought through for the past 9 years and that now I feel akin to the main character at the very end of the book when he goes back home feeling stronger and more determined with a big stick and says "my troubles are going to have trouble with ME!" She said she was really glad I had brought that book in, she hadn't seen it before. It was one of my two most favorite books as a little girl. That and "Becky Ann Visits Storybook Land". I read her that one way back during year 1 haha.

I love that you can relate to the main character and you can see how you've grown and come. I listened to the book on youtube. Surprisingly iI've never heard of this book before. On Amazon there's only one supplier offering it for £8.30 + £2.80 for delivery when most of the other books are as low as £4.00.
