Hi, I’ve been dealing with a multitude of mental disorders (as obvious and probably manipulative as it sounds) and Ive recently been extremely stressed with school work and a couple legal issues and disputes.
I’ve always had a habit since i was a little kid of using objects to pull at my finger nails. As bad as it sounds, no I do not pull them off. The feeling of something, even my own nails digging under my other nails, makes me feel better for a short period. Like kicking your leg when nervous or twirling your hair.
Would this be considered an anxiety related tick/issue? If so, what can I do to stop? Is it harmful?
