Good post. I also find that, for me, it sometimes helps to be able to verbalise how I'm feeling. All emotions, sadness, anxiety, anger are valid emotions and I have heard that the more words people have in their toolbox to be able to express emotions.. the more helpful expressing their feelings can be. Exactly the opposite of the blaming and shaming ''advice'' some people give re their perception of things like ''whining'' (people in real life who do not have the skills or temperament to listen and who often have not experienced trauma or serious mental illness)
