It took me 12 hours of hauling and unloading two vehicles. I was concerned that I'd have the physical stamina to do this. One female teacher/coworker said "I can't believe you waited this long to get your Master's degree."...adding that she couldn't do it at our age. I'm 57, with increasingly less energy and more and more aches and pains. I took the day off from teaching the middleschoolers Friday to do this, and then came home and slept all the day thru yesterday. Today, however, I felt surprisingly liberated, and I actually went out and planted many rose and ornamental grass plants!
The installation of this exhibit is the culmination of 4 years of work on my part, largely because of the help I received here on PC. I will post the photos of the exhibit, which I call "Appalachian Stratigraphy: A Personal Journey," which is reflective of my upbringing and roots of growing up in rural coal mining WV.
