I also avoid being around active alcoholics as much as I can (it’s actually pretty easy for me, as I rarely go in pubs or other places where people might drink a lot, it’s just I can’t totally avoid being around my dad, of course). Mum does talk about divorce occasionally, but nothing ever comes of it. I’d support her if she ever wanted to go ahead with it though!
