I am so sorry that is happening to you. How awful! I have been on Citalopram for over ten years and have not experienced those brain zaps and headaches, even when I first started taking it. I did experience these things when I was on a Tricyclic Antidepressant. And it was really distressing. I hope these side effects wane as the weeks wear on. I read somewhere that it can take 6 weeks for some antidepressant side effects to pass if they are going to pass. Unfortunately I cannot remember the source of that information and so it not something that you or anyone could or should rely upon. What does your prescribing physician say about all this?
