Im not sure if female condoms are sold at drug stores or not? Ive never bought one. When youre looking for information, be sure that its not a biased website. A lot of times you will search for things on child prevention and find a very christian website that will skew the facts to make it look like hardly any contraceptive is a preventative measure.
I was on birth control for 4 years and liked it until recently. I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and have had a rough time with birth control. But overall I would say most women like it.
If youre worried about the hormonal effects of birth control there are other methods than condoms. You can buy spermacide which is a chemical that is supposed to kill the sperm. I dont think they sell sponges anymore. I would advise against things like Depo-provera because that has been known to cause extreme changes in women.
The changing partners thing is up to you. I don't want to get into the definition of a '*****' cause that always ends badly lol. I think as long as youre making the conscious decision and not doing it for reasons like to get a guy to like you, it shouldnt matter. Women have sexual needs just like men do. Being protected and making a conscious decision are the most important things, imo. Just make sure you take protective measures against pregnancy and stds of course. And even if you do use condoms, I would still advise being tested every 6 months to a year if youre changing partners that frequently. A lot of places have free and anonymous HIV testing and you can go to a family doctor for testing of other stds.
Hope this helps
