A bit narcissitic. My mom is like that. Every conversation I've had with her is 90% one sided, on her side. I'd feel lectured to at the dinner table with her as a kid. And, it was just me and her (dad had died when I was 6, no siblings, adopted). Even today, at 43, the conversations are all the same. If I bring up a topic, she talks about her perspective of the topic with very little interest on my part. I guess that's what narcissic tendencies do. She "means well" - but doesn't empathize well.
