I don't follow along with the check-in thread either because it's too fast-paced for me. I can see the value of it for some people, but I personally prefer the in-depth threads. I can also see what I think is busymomof5's point, which is that it's sad that there are fewer in-depth threads than there used to be. I don't know if that's a result of the "mega threads." I think maybe it's more because a good number of previous frequent visitors have left the forums not too long ago. Whatever the cause, it's definitely a pity.
