When I first started posting here I only created or responded to the individual posts, not the check-in thread. As time went on and I got to know people better, I like posting and reading the check-in thread to catch up on how people are doing. Sometimes I don't find my daily life activities warrant their own discussion which is why I just post there. If I do have a question or discussion topic that I think would be interesting to post in its own thread then I still do that. I think they both have their own place, but can understand if someone isn't interested in the mega threads. Feel free to start a thread on any topic that interests you and I think people will usually respond.
