i also tend to not follow the mega-threads as there is too much stuff to check out for me. However, i have no problem with other people deiciding to post there often. i am not sure if the decline of specific threads is due to people using the check-in topics more often but i feel like if someone feels the need to they'd have no problem just starting a new one.
