If you can't get the discount card you often can qualify for patient assistance. It will give criteria about income, having Medicare or whatever but I've found that if you apply and include a note saying that I really need this med but it costs $450/month and I can't afford that and can I have an exemption then they will approve it and I get the med free. I've never been rejected and I have done this with several meds over the years.

It might be worth a shot.
