Not at all. Everything is random. To me, there's just too much bad in the world for it to happen for a reason.
I work with foster kids and I've read their files and the ordeals they were put through at the hands of people they should have been able to trust, but instead found themselves suffering a whole litany of abuses. I'm sorry, but you can't convince me that these children's suffering "happens for a reason".
