Hi @ sfogliatella, the ignore function only stops someone from responding on threads that you are the original poster (OP), meaning you started the thread. On a check-in thread, community thread, or any other thread not started by you, yes, they can respond to the thread or to you.
Usually this is done by accident. The person likely doesn't know you have put them on ignore. Most people are respectful of the ignore function.
