I ran into my t at Costco once, she was in the line next to the one I was in. I called out hi to her and she said hi back and then we both checked out, chatted briefly as we waited in the line to exit the store (they have people that check receipts on the way out) then said see ya and went our separate ways. It was nice, not weird at all.
