In all fairness to Mr. Smith, I thought I should post his thoughts on it.

I quote:
"Pain is a gift. It is to me.
Anything that tries to bring you down,
that hurts, use it as a fuel.
Use it to make you a stronger person."

I really think he's referring to 'ordinary' things that are painful. I can't help but wonder if he has any concept of people like us. I think he would be much less generous with his platitudes.
