We've been given our 'roadmap' out of lockdown which is dependent upon cases continuing to fall. It has 4 stages of reopening and an assertion we will have no social restrictions at all by 21st of June.
Everyone I've spoken to today seems apprehensive. I think we'll believe it when we see it. All we can do is watch and wait - personally I admit I am happy I'll be able to get a haircut in April when hairdressers should be reopening.
As an aside I was reading about the importance of ventilation in preventing transmission. Not systems which recirculate air but bring fresh air flow through buildings. It seems east Asian countries who did better with the pandemic have got more knowledge of the importance of this.
In the UK we had a lot of messaging about surface contamination/handwashing/wiping down surfaces but most transmission is airborne not surface. Really we need to look at this. At the very least opening windows is massively important.
