i have never experienced this firsthand but i don't find it hard to believe that this can happen, even on a regular basis. i am So Sorry for whoever is feeling belittled, especially since mental illnesses are something people don't have a lot of control over. They are illnesses like others. Try not to pay too much attention to this kind of comments. They come from a place of ignorance or malice most of the time at least in my opinion.
