It has a very short half life...have you ever considered a longer acting benzo like klonipin?
10mg of ambien is equal to .25mg of xanax.
I jsut know that I have read that poeple can start having rebound anxiety from benzo use.
my pdoc prescribed klonipin for me and I weaned off it easily.
