I think my parents (who have been long dead) would get the shots. And as I say, I've had the first one and plan on getting the second. I am old and fat, which make my chances of dying from COVID higher. My doctor sure doesn't want me to take any chances about getting it--and her expertise is in treating older patients. And Dr. Fauci took it--and the current and former PREZ and FLOTUS.

My son, who is in his late twenties, had COVID and he said he wouldn't wish it on anyone--although he didn't die or have to be hospitalized. And there can be long term effects from getting COVID even if people don't die. That helps me to want to get the vaccine, too.

No, nobody needs to argue that my reasons are unreasonable.
I like your play of words. “My reason is unreasonable”. Clever! I think your reasons are reasonable within reason haha

I had a fever for a day after vaccine and I was miserable! And it was a low grade fever. I have a lot of people who had covid at work as we are in person, not online and how about 2 weeks of fever? 3 weeks? How about high fever? Ugh one day seems nothing in comparison.

I am so glad your son is ok. Oh I know it’s worrisome about the long term effects. We can’t possibly know them all yet. Some people have weird effects already, not even talking about serious like lung damage. The time will tell.
