Well after lots of debate we gave up teaching our son how to drive. We're getting him a bike. We're requiring 2 hrs. of biking or driving a day. Until he either gets his license or can comfortably ride 3 hrs. and 30 min. and he's comfortable with riding anywhere he needs to go. I'm not comfortable with this but got a big hug (rare) and a thank-you.

Traffic here is horrendous. bus system is spotty at best and almost $90 a month. I worry for his safety biking but we've been trying to convince him for 3 years to drive and he's to worried he'll kill someone driving, he won't try driving. He needs some independence before moving. His schools 3 hours away by bike and longer by bus.
