If you use Miracle Grow every two weeks in anything that is in a pot, make sure you leach out the soil. That means soak the pot by running water in it till it runs out the bottom pretty good.

I used Miracle Grow for years and it stopped working for me a couple years go even after leaching. Now I'd rather use bone meal, blood meal, alfalfa meal and fish meal if you can find it. If not, use the liquid stuff and make sure it's "deoderized." It still smells a bit but not nearly as bad as the UNdeoderized stuff. This should last you all season long.
