I don't think you have anything to be ashamed of. It is okay to feel attached. Attachment doesn't always mean it is a bad thing. Be kind to yourself

It helped me when I told my therapist about my attachment to her. And based off of her reaction, I knew she was glad to hear it and was so happy I shared with her (she teared up).
