Get this, my mom decided when ciagrettes got to $2.50 a pack she'd stop, and she did. She likes to pretend she did it cold turkey, but that's not 100% true. She did use mostly willpower and refused to pay for cigarettes at such a price, but she used nicotine patches too.
Jeremy was still alive so we're talking like 2004-2005ish. (I live in KY, our cash crop is tobacco so cigarettes are cheaper here in general, but I think even the generic cheapos are like $6/pack now!)
