The best way to detox off med IS by going slow. That’s the rough truth. I’m weaning a patient off Xanax and the process has taken two years and may take as much as another year because we are going so gradually . I don’t know if you would benefit from a hospital stay or not- but if you do it I don’t think the goal should be to stop meds as quickly as possible
