The state announced our first Brazilian variant, found in a person who has not traveled and who lives in one of the least populated areas of the state. If it's there, it must be everywhere. I assumed they were testing all samples for variants but apparently they are only testing 5%. The new theory is that our case counts have not dropped because these variants are already spreading throughout the community.
