It's just criminal what they charge for assisted living arrangements! Then, they pay their staff less that $15-an-hour to do the real work. The entire system is messed up. We just went through that recently with my aunt. Her experience convinced my parents to get longterm care insurance. That's extremely expensive, but they really did the research about the facilities associated with the group they signed on with. They want to spare us a bad scene when they become too infirmed to live independently.
