I feel like when people say something happened for a reason, they’re invoking some kind of fallacy. There’s so much stuff that happens that doesn’t make sense, but good, bad, or indifferent, all events have equally random precipitated events leading up to them. Do people ever keep the negative events that happen in mind when they say this?
