Normally, I wouldn’t tell my 28 y/o friend’s parents, but you may want to due to her being this delusional and the amount of the money she’s going to lose.

Normally she is not like this. She can be very naive and gullible, but usually not to this extent. I do wonder if she has become very delusional due to loneliness or something else going on. She did admit that she knows it can go very wrong, but she still has to find out for herself. She told me that if she is wrong, then she will delete the person forever. But it is still frustrating though that she feels the need to do that.
I think it is a form of control as well. She feels like people are always trying to control her decisions and protect her. So this may also be her way of doing something that doesn't involve others getting into it. Yeah normally I wouldn't tell her parents too. But in this case, I may have to. Either that or I let her learn the hard way. I would go with her to the airport just for safety reasons but of course it's a scammer, no one will show up unless it is a creeper.
