I wasn't sure about essential stores within a shopping centre but apparantly you can still go there without a negative test result. I'm just gonna take a gamble the post office also counts as essential.

There's also a rule saying companies have to offer their employees a free test twice a week - although employees don't have to use that offer, unless they have direct customer contact (I guess that means in person and I wouldn't have to get tested before e-mailing a customer ). My employer has not offered us any testing. But we're working from home, why would it be my employer's responsibility to offer me a test when I don't come into contact with anyone during working hours (and don't have a commute to the office)?
Yes lateral flow tests have really been pushed here too recently, everyone is entitled to 2 free ones per week (it used to just be for essential workers).

I'm shocked you have to have to show a negative one to visit non essential shops!

It makes no sense to me that you don't need a negative one for essential shops? Like the virus knows the difference? It's all so confusing.

I would say a post office is essential!
