Recently this friend of mine who claims that she cares about me and that I'm her best friend treated me like I meant nothing to her not to long ago. What happened is that we were supposed to meet up for a movie.

She was looking forward to meeting me. She said yes. Well, she didn't even bother to cancel plans that day. She's never flaked on me before then, so I forgave her for that, but I'm still upset at what happened.

I called her and she said sorry but she's not feeling well and she said, were we supposed to go to the movies today? So perhaps she forgot? I told her to please text or call me next time and she said sorry and I got the vibe that she thought I was being unreasonable.

I wasn't angry, I just asked her why she didn't at least text me earlier. She's been more distant these days. She said that she'd make it up to me. She has barely texted me since then.

I did ask her if she's OK now and she said yes. I know that she's going through a hard time at work, but to not have the courtesy to text a friend when you're not going to show up somewhere is rude.

I didn't say that of course. Why would she do that to me after telling me that I matter to her so much? It hurt my feelings and has made me doubt her as a friend.
