i think your current plan, starting out with some well-planned tasks is a good idea. i think simply taking it one step at the time may be a good way to start. If you try to do something that you don't think you can handle that well at the moment i don't think there is any shame in abandoning it at least temporarely trying it out later. Just do what you can at the moment right now. Yeah, it may not be easy but i think it may be worth it to give this a try. Sorry if this post wasn't Helpful, i Hope others will be able to Help more.
