I just checked my fasting blood sugar, i havent in a while, not since i started the rice and beans. It was 158, which, while not great, i think is not toooo bad. Anyway, just another thing i will worry about endlessly (dr appt on friday) instead of just DOING.
I calculated calories for my breakfast - 320 rice, 200 beans, 100 peaches, 80 olives, 100 coffee = 800. Which again, not great, but high fiber and sticks to mah ribs! And doesnt leave me looking for cookies afterwards because my stomach still feels empty. The coffee is enough of an ending sweet. I started work with coffee and cookies for 30 years, so hard habit to replace. I dont need that sugar jolt now.
