well...yes and no. yes you do get to mother your own wounded little girl and that will bring healing and some comfort if she lets you and you are able to reach her. at the same time her pain is your pain because you are her. so sometimes you will not be able to self soothe or she may not be reachable. I started doing that work 2 years ago and realized how much I can be there for her. But sometimes the pain is too great.
