While it's nice to think our members would support the site with monthly monetary commitments, I don't feel comfortable with that as a business model.

Online ads, on the other hand, are something I know well and feel they don't ask a whole lot of individual members -- and especially nothing monetary. Most of our members simply aren't in a place where they could make such donations.
